The Watson-Marlow Pumps Group, the Sundyne Corporation and MASO Process-Pumpen GmbH are pleased to announce that they have agreed to the sale and transfer of substantially all of the assets and agreements of MASO as well as the transfer of the employees of MASO to Watson-Marlow GmbH with effect from 27 August 2009. Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc, the owner of Watson-Marlow announced this acquisition of the Business publicly on 27 August 2009.

Watson-Marlow has long admired the MASO and Sine pump product lines and is delighted to add this strong manufacturing business and its unique products to its specialised pumps portfolio. After the date hereof, Watson-Marlow will assume all manufacturing responsibilities for the product lines.

Within the USA the pumps are known under the name SINE, in the rest of the world as MASO. Now Watson-Marlow’s management decided to consolidate the brand names to MasoSine. All future pumps will get this new brand name.

The new company is called Watson-Marlow MasoSine and is part of the Watson-Marlow Pumps Group.

Technically MasoSine and Watson-Marlow pumps fit together perfectly. For the wavelike movements of the sinusoidal stator you could imagine a stainless steel peristaltic pump. MasoSine’s typical market areas are the food and the chemical industry. There both product lines will quickly complement each other.

Distribution channels in form of Channel Partners will be continued on equal terms. So REITZE will still remain your exclusive Channel Partner Northern Germany.

Watson-Marlow would like to assure you that, following the transfer, it will apply the same high quality standards to which you are accustomed and you will continue to work with the same team of people you have worked with in the past.
